Happy Tuesday and welcome to my new blog. I've decided to X my old blog "Making Connections". I'll still update it, but I've realized that I don't meet that many interesting people being extremely busy lately. I'll be sure to let you know when I post a new post on that blog.
Fall is here, well, not technically. It's still summer, but with the changes in the weather and being back at school the season has definitely been set in my mind. I have a lot on my plate this semester but there's nothing wrong with being busy...I keep telling myself that. Working as a server at a restaurant, having an internship at WHOtv, and being a full-time student definitely takes a toll on a 20 year old. I hear it only gets worse. Not to mention, (but mentioning anyway) the Des Moines half marathon that I am registered for on October 16th. Yikes! I'll be sure to let you know how it goes.
I spent last weekend in St. Louis, MO for a journalism bootcamp at St. Louis University. The hotel we stayed in was....an experience. Horrible smells, hairs and stains on the bedding, completely flat pillows, posters on the walls held up by push-pins, oh, and I can't forget the slimy green pool. The reviews are hilarious. I just don't want to write one because that would cause me to go back into my memory bank. I think I'd rather forget it. If you don't take anything from this post, take this: Do not book a room at the Budget Inn in Wentzville, MO. There's a reason it's named that.
